No Mask No Entry!

What a good idea! Let's make tickets to our show a reusable mask with Stolen Girlfriends Club branding all over it! And I must say its a very comfy and well-fitting mask.

In classic Stolen style (of bigger is better) this mid-COVID show was just that. Held in Shed 10 at Auckland's viaduct, this huge space was filled with a stage at one end and a two-level scaffolding structure running the length of the hall. As per usual there was a 40 person cast, but this year it was a mix of both models and public walking the catwalk.

The show felt a bit post-apocalyptic with acid yellows, deep reds and burnt orange throughout the collection with a healthy dose of black of course. And it wouldn't be a Stolen show without lots of leather and accessories - big chunky belts, elbow-length leather gloves, scarves and bags. I loved all the lockdown inspired tye-dyed, but I especially loved the suits and suit jackets (I do love me a fabulous suit).

'Is there music in the afterlife?' was plastered on all their teeshirts - to which the answer is, SURELY! Stolen had a great line up for us, with live music smashing on drums, to DJ sets throughout the night.

The show felt like a bit of a f*€k you 2020, but lets still be safe too. Let's try and enjoy ourselves with the little freedom we have and lets bloody make the most of it!
